Awards

Best Paper Awards

Any regular (non-student) speaker, who is the first author as well as the presenting author of a paper submitted will be eligible for this award. Winners will be selected by the OGC 2025 Committee. Certificates and Awards will be presented to the winners at the conference banquet and award ceremony.

Best Student Paper Awards

Any full-time university student, who is the first author as well as the presenting author of a paper submitted with choosing presentation type of “Best Student Paper Award” will be eligible for this award. Winners will be selected by the OGC 2025 Committee. Certificates and Awards will be presented to the winners at the conference banquet and award ceremony.

Young Scientist Awards

Everyone within the age of 40 by August 25, 2025 with a doctor degree is eligible for Best Young Scientist Award. Application could be made during registration. The applicant is required to submit representative publications (up to 3) and full CV for judges to review. All publications need to provide impact factor, citation and major research contribution.


Best Poster Awards

Any presenting author of a paper submitted with choosing presentation type of “Best Poster Award” will be eligible for this award. Winners will be selected by the OGC 2025 Committee. Certificates and Awards will be presented to the winners at the conference banquet and award ceremony.

Optoelectronics Global Student Achievement Awards 2025

(3 Categories: Undergraduate/Master/PhD)

Award given to student who produced high quality thesis, dissertation or report. Three awards will be given to outstanding students under each category. Applicants will be evaluated by an expert panel led by OGC Technical Program Committee Chair.

Eligibility:

(1) The candidate must be an undergraduate, Master or PhD student before 1 July 2024.

(2) The thesis, dissertation or report must be produced between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2025.

Application Procedure:

Submit the following materials via email to sharonqin@young.ac.cn

- English abstract of the thesis, dissertation or report (within 1 page);

- A supporting letter from the supervisor or mentor;

- CV and transcript of the applicant;

- Thesis, dissertation or report in pdf;

- Student ID card

The application deadline is 1 August 2025. Winners will be informed via email and awards will be presented on 10 Sept 2025 during OGC/CIOE opening ceremony.

Optoelectronic Technology Innovation Award

Awards will be given to innovative ideas or products which demonstrated new inventions, new technologies or new concepts in the fields of optoelectronics. Awards including the best innovation award, the most commercial value award and the most creative award will be given to outstanding projects. Applicantions will be evaluated by an expert panel appointed by OGC Technical Program Committee. This is a platform for optoelectonic researchers or engineers to showcase their innovative optoelectronic product ideas or enginnering solutions.

- Download and complete the award application form;

- Supporting materials such as the ppt, poster, video, etc.;

- Student ID card (if the applicant is a student).

The application deadline is 1 August 2025. Winners will be informed via email and awards will be presented on 10 Sept. 2025 during OGC/CIOE opening ceremony.
